Our Cottage is a small, family-oriented cottage located on a clean, fresh-water lake. We have REDUCED our CARBON FOOTPRINT, by using an ENVIROLET COMPOSTING TOILET. The lake is ideal for activities, such as swimming, canoeing, & especially fishing. All amenities are available in Madoc, only a 5 minute drive|

Cottage Overview:Our Cottage is located on a small island that is accessed from the road, by a sturdy wooden foot bridge. Once on the island, there is a patio stone path leading to the cottage. Parking is available on the west side of Our Country Kitchen features a fridge and stove, microwave, coffee-maker, toaster, kettle and drinking water dispenser. There is a sink with hot and cold running water and a large counter area. A full selection of basic cutlery, utensils, pots and pans, glassware, cups and wineglasses are at your finger tips. Our Sun Room features three large windows and sliding doors that walkout onto the deck. Comfy chairs and a selection of books, movies and games to while away the time. A wood stove for those cool spring and fall evenings and a lake view to dream about! Our Bedrooms each have one double bed. One bedroom has antique furniture, and the other a brass bed. There is a day bed in the Sun Room. Sheets, pillowcases, pillows and blankets are provided. Our Bathroom has an Environmentally Friendly ENVIROLET COMPOSTING TOILET. The sink and shower provide hot and cold running water for your comfort. Bathroom linens are supplied. Our Backyard features a small grassy area and side yard, with a fire pit overlooking the water. Also, a propane BBQ for grilling your favourite steak. Our Waterfront is accessible by a short set of stone steps. There is a concrete area at the shoreline to set up chairs and a 30-foot dock with ladder for water access. The water is beautiful for swimming, but due to rocks, zebra mussels and stones on the bottom, we recommend you bring *WATER SHOES* to protect your feet.
A one week rental period is from Sunday to Sunday. Check-in at 3:00 pm and Check-out at 10:00 am.
