Cottage Overview:Twin Cedars on Shadow Lake is a comfortable, fully equipped cottage tastefully decorated with pine furnature and early Canadiana antiquets. It's electrically heated and has a warming romanting fireplace in the sunken livingroom. Quiet and sem-secluded it's perfect for romantic weekends or weekly rentals during summer.Our three-bedroom, Viceroy cottage called "Twin Cedars" is located on Shadow lake two hours north of Toronto at Norland, a small, friendly village in the Kawatha/Haliburton region on highway #35. This romantic cottage is nicely decorated, with pine walls, pine floors and pine cathedral ceilings with lots of glass facing the water so it's bright and cheery. It has a large sunken fully-broad loomed living room, separate dining room, fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms with double beds, plus a third bedroom with two single bunks. The cottage is fully electrically heated, has a wood-burning fireplace, DVD, VCR and CPD player. It's on it's own private 170' water frontage with sandy beach and shallow water for children. For adults there's a deeper 5-6' spot with swimming raft. It's on a landscaped lot with a 30' natural-life reflecting pond and area with mature trees. The cottage comes with a canoe and aluminum fishing boat (there’s small and large-mouth Bass, Pickerel, Trout and Musky in Shadow Lake.) There' a fire pit, wooden picnic table and lawn chairs with lots of shade or sun for most of the day if you wish. You have to bring your personal linens (bed sheet, towels, wash cloth, tea-towels etc), food, fishing rods, wine and promise to leave cottage and grounds spotless on your departure. Rental rate during July and August is $950 total per week. Off-season rate for two persons is $125 total per day with a minimum of a three-day rental.
